Devlog 004: A chart that comes alive, right inside our articles
Today we shipped something that's been in the works for a while: an interactive chart that lives right inside our articles.
Until now, our yearly-fortune pieces spoke to a whole star type at once — say, everyone with the Sun in their Life Palace. But even within that one group, where this year's Hua Ji lands and how hard it hits varies a lot from person to person. A static article was never really going to capture that.
So the heart of this update is letting the article read your own details. Drop in your birth time at the top and it instantly draws your personal chart, then breaks things down to show how this year's stars actually play out for you. Instead of one-size-fits-all, it now weighs your natal chart and your current decade to make a few simple calls.
Zi Wei Dou Shu is full of jargon, and it's easy for beginners to get stuck. Going forward, we'll be rolling this module out to more of the articles people are curious about. The hope is that a bit of hands-on tinkering while you read helps you get a feel for the shape of your own chart — instead of just staring at cold definitions.
Because honestly, a birth chart only gets interesting once it's actually about you.
Today's TMI: Tried to snag concert tickets today and totally missed out. Bummer :)
